Leaders of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have paid homage to the mural of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing flowers at the campus of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

On Sunday (March 31), BCL President Saddam Hossain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Enam led a procession into the BUET campus.

Prior to this, the Bangladesh Chhatra League staged a protest against the decision of the BUET administration to cancel the residential seat allocation of Imtiaz Hossain Rahim Rabbi, a student of the 21st batch of the Civil Engineering Department, declaring it as unconstitutional, fundamental rights-violating, and anti-educational.

Alongside, the Chhatra League has given a 24-hour ultimatum to the BUET administration to revoke Imtiaz Hossain Rahim Rabbi's seat.

From the protest rally held at the Central Shaheed Minar, leaders and activists of the Chhatra League took a procession to BUET to show their respect by placing flowers at the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) Vice-Chancellor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumdar said on Sunday afternoon that if the teachers and students want, student politics can be introduced again in the campus.
